In light of the fact that Meteor Games will soon be producing new games, we have decided to create a new website, focussing on Meteor Games in general. Twin Skies Navigator will remain, and will still provide you with great news and guides, but as part of a new network of websites under the name of: The Meteorites.

The Meteorites will cover news, reviews and more from Meteor Games. Just today they have released a very interesting look at an upcoming application from the team that brought you twinskies.com. So go check it out at themeteorites.net

As mentioned yesterday by Donna, twinskies.com is this weekend for maintenance. No change to the site itself, just server stuff to make the website run faster and better.

Yesterday Adam (borovan) posted on the Twin Skies forums a very interesting update. The post is very long, so here is a small extract from it:

“So… we’re not doing a 3D MMO any more. If things go well its certainly an option for us in the future, but its not something we’re going to make a decision on for the next year at least. Twin Skies is going to be in 2D, made in Flash and it’s going to be free to play. It’ll be the same world, the same monsters, the same Canopy Elves, Humans, Merfolk, Walrus Men, Bus Drivers etc., however it will be set in a different period of time, before the meteors struck and all the chaos started happening.
You’ll still be able to go on adventures, craft items, join guilds, raise pets, grow magical plants, trade, and play minigames for points, it’s just going to be more accessible, a little bit cuter and hopefully easier to make.

It has just turned 25th December here, and so on behalf of everyone here at TSN: Happy Christmas. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, then just enjoy the festive season.

Quick TS Update: Twin Skies’ 3rd race are called Merfolk. 

A few updates to the Twin Skies’ Facebook game have dramatically improved it. Updates follow:

• All user levels have been reset to level 1.
• Updated graphics.
• Ability to edit your town’s name.
• Units - A page with tower and monster information.
• A beginners guide to the game (rubbish compared to TSN’s guide).
